Respiratory fit testing is a mandatory requirement of AS/NZS 1715 Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment, which also details the different fit testing methods.
Fit testing measures the effectiveness of the seal between the respirator and the wearer’s face. It is required for all tight fitted respirators including disposable respirators.
Industrial Hygiene Perth Quantitatively test respiratory equipment using the AeroFit which is OSHA and ANSI compliant.
Participants receive a fit test report with the necessary quantitative record and protocol.
3M Hearing Protector Fit Testing

This Industrial Hygiene Perth Quantitatively test the fitting of hearing protectors using the uvex xact-fit test instrument.
AS/NZS 1269.3:2005 Occupational noise management – Hearing protector program” specifies the requirements for the selection, use and maintenance of HPDs in noisy workplaces. The standard states that “the fitting of hearing protectors is an important part of the hearing protector program.”
Our Fit Testing Service checks that hearing protection, when worn, seals adequately inside the ear, and that the user can correctly insert and apply the hearing protection.
We test to the relevant standards and the manufacturers specifications.
Participants receive an ear fit test report at the end of the assessment.
