The preparation of a Health Management Plan is a requirement under the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) for mine sites within Western Australia.
A HMP is a holistic and risk-based approach towards documenting all the health and hygiene hazards associated with a site. This involves describing the operation, identifying hazards, assessing the risk (HRA), verification and validation of controls, and document hazards, risks, controls and improvements.
In addition to the initial development and completion of a HMP, there is a requirement for an annual review to capture any changes or developments and to assess the effectiveness of the controls.
Industrial Hygiene Perth have the experience and expertise as an effective consultancy to develop and review HMP’s to ensure your site can monitor and recognize health and hygiene hazards during operational conditions.
